Renew Items

You can renew most items you borrow. You can renew online, by phone, or by visiting a library location.

FastTRAC borrowers can't renew ISU Library items.

Online

You can renew ISU Library items online through your library account. Select “Renew” for each renewable item.

Verify the due dates have changed for the items you selected.

Call 515-294-3961. You will need to know your ISU ID number or Library Visitor Card number.

Visit one of our locations with your library card. Bring the item with you in case something is not renewable.

Recalled items, Course Reserves items, and items checked out for 36 months or more can’t be renewed and must be returned.

If your account is expired, you can’t renew or check out any items. Visit a library location to renew your account.

Renew interlibrary loan items through your ILLiad account.

You can renew items 5 days before and up to 5 days after the due date listed in your account. Learn more about renewing in your interlibrary loan account.

You can’t renew FastTRAC items.

Members of FastTRAC institutions can’t renew ISU items borrowed through FastTRAC.
