Love Data Week workshops in the Catalyst

As part of the 2025 Love Data Week Celebration, Feb. 10-14, the library will host two workshops in The Catalyst focused on creating effective data visualizations. These workshops are the perfect way to prepare for the second annual Data Viz Contest, which opens on Feb 14.  

• Data Viz 101: Effective design, from 11 -11:50 a.m.,Wednesday, Feb. 12, in The Catalyst, Parks 199.
  Learn how to apply design principles to improve your data visualizations in this short seminar. 
• Data viz glow up: Pick a chart type, from 11 a.m.-12:15a.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, in The Catalyst, Parks 199
  Pie, doughnut, lollipop, waffle, and bee swarms? Oh my! These are just some of the charts you can make, but should you?
