The University Library and the Division of Student Affairs will host a grand opening for Cyclone Support Central from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, in Room 140 on the main level of Parks Library. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to stop by, explore the space, and enjoy light refreshments.
“Meeting students’ needs is at the heart of everything we do at the library,” said Hilary Seo, dean of the University Library. “Opening the doors to Cyclone Support Central is the culmination of a successful partnership with Student Affairs that brings to life a student-centric resource center outlined in the library’s 2022 master plan. Conversations evolved from student health and wellness into a holistic approach to support students in alignment with the university’s Cyclone Support initiative.”
The event celebrates the official opening of the collaborative wellbeing space. The north side of Cyclone Support Central features wellness activities, including meditation stations, biofeedback sessions, and a quiet reading nook with inspirational literature. The south side of the room is available for campus partners to reserve for programs that align with Cyclone Support. Email cyclonesupport@iastate.edu for reservation details.
