If you haven’t yet found your way to Parks Library or the Veterinary Medical Library, please consider this your personal invitation to visit us in person and online.
“Aha! moments” happen here – all around us.
They’re happening in Central Parks – our new hub of individual use study pods located on the main floor of Parks Library. Perfect for any number of things like telehealth, remote job interviews, and online course presentations, Central Parks pods are reservable online.
Studio 2B is the go-to place for recording and live-streaming discoveries and insights you’d like to share by creating professional-quality videos within a one-button studio format.
An internal task force to explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI), build campus partnerships, and coordinate efforts in the University Library is working to better understand this emerging technology as many of us exclaim, “Aha!”
Amid the university’s new immediate access course materials program, the University Library continues our commitment to course affordability. Our team approach includes strategic efforts to help instructors identify and vet free and low-cost course materials through the support of subject librarians and our services for Open Educational Resources and Course Reserves. Our staff collaborate with the University Book Store to support instructors in choosing the best options for their courses and students.
Students, faculty, and staff can find their subject librarian online, connect with a librarian through our Live Chat service on our home page, or visit our main desk in Parks Library for in-person assistance.
Whether you’re visiting to learn, collaborate, find support, or recharge, on behalf of the faculty and staff at the Iowa State University Library, welcome!
We look forward to helping you connect with the resources you need to inspire your own “Aha! moments” and thrive at Iowa State.
Sincerely,
Hilary Seo
Dean of the University Library
